Air Pallet Transporters - Heavy Load Moving Equipment

Flat, Low Profile Aluminium Air Pallet Transporters

Aluminium Air Pallet Transporters - the ideal indoor load moving equipment for factories and warehouses. Powered by compressed air (pneumatic), air pallet transporters are easy and safe to use and can move heavy loads up to 10 tons with very little effort.

Rotair's aluminium air pallet transporters offer an easy and flexibly way for moving regularly shaped loads with fixed widths and lengths. Sizes start around 4ft x 2ft, and weight capacities range from 750kgs up to 9000kgs and beyond.

Made from tough, aluminium extrusion, air pallets are rugged load moving equipment designed to float on smooth, non-porous and flat floor surfaces.

Air pallet transporters can be fitted with A-type or B-type air bearings. A-type air bearings are fitted as standard and will provide just enough lift for the load to float on the floor surface. B-type air bearings are a little more rugged and will provide better lift on surfaces which are ideal for this type of load moving. The B-type air bearing also offers a slightly higher lift than the A-type. This extra lift height of the air pallets could be taken advantage of if you have to lift a load clear of its base before moving it off to its destination. However, B-type air bearings do use a little more compressed air than their A-type counterparts.

The air pallet transporter shown here has A-type air bearings on board, and a rubber bumper fitted around the edges of the transporter. The air flow control mainfold is nicely concealed at the rear thus preventing accidental damage.

A rear fitted air manifold incorporates air flow control valves for each air bearing, as well as an On/Off ball value that connects to the air supply source. Air pallet operators don't have to move too far if they need to adjust the air flow settings to the pallet's air bearings.

Air bearing replacement is easy and requires the removal of just one hex-head bolt for the A-type air bearings and 5 hex-head bolts for the B-type air bearings.

The required weight and size of the load will determine both the size of the air pallet transporter, the air bearing weight capacity, also the air bearings type.

Note: A push handle is an optional feature, and slots into the air pallet base just behind the manifold.

Be sure to ask your Rotair Systems contact for more details on A & B-type air bearings and their properties.
